Dennis Saylor reported no new major incidents, though one speaker in the pavilion is missing and the other one damaged.  Johnny Spears reported that he identified the culprit who defaced the fishing dock with chalk.

Wildlife Management Report:

Buddy Brinkley reported that the carp has been added to the lake.

Lake Management Report:

Buddy Brinkley reported all of the lakes in the chain are now fully up.  Work on the valve in the swimming lake will commence after Oktoberfest.

Old Business:

Buddy Brinkley thanked those who helped out with the first movie night.  Dennis Saylor discussed the purchase of new steel mesh picnic tables with rubber coatings.  The board decided not to make a decision on the picnic tables pending additional investigation.  Johnny Spears discussed the new grills he’s looking at.  Gary Marozas pointed out that new grills could be fabricated locally by Creighton Henderson, though they would be expensive.  Brinkley asked whether or not the association should go ahead and build a barbeque pit.  Saylor suggested discussing this project with Malcolm Tile.  The board decided to solicit volunteers at Oktoberfest.

New Business:

Oktoberfest Planning – Bob Mell was put in charge of the meats.  The planning assumption was that 450 people would attend and that an appropriate amount of bratswursts, knockwursts, and hot dogs would be required.  The board would handle the cooking themselves with a large portable grill.  Dennis Saylor had responsibility for most other food items, including the sauerkraut, cakes, and cookies.  Mell would also bring many of the other needed items including beer, wine, potato salad, rolls, condiments, plates, napkins, cups, and votive candles.  Buddy Brinkley requested that all board members bring cigarette lighters to assist with the pumpkin-carving contest.  Saylor would bring the sign-in list and Gary Bunker would be responsible for the sign-ins.  Gary Marozas was responsible for the soft drinks and ice.  The board approved the soft drink list.  Brinkley would procure the pumpkins, including one large one as a prize.  Bill Mathison was allocated $200 for door prizes.  Decorations were reportedly still in the storage shed from last year.  Setup would begin at noon along with the cooking.  The pumpkins were due to arrive at 1 p.m.  The sign-in would start at 4:30 p.m. and the food would be served at 5 p.m.  The band was to begin playing at 5 p.m.
